Ruby Loveday (b.2001) is a sculpture, video and textile artist based in Glasgow.

Her work began with wearable metal sculpture and the idea of not being able to fit through a doorway because the adornment was too big. Through time the work is no longer made for the body but takes the whole effort of the body to endure its making process, this spans across her video and textile too. Her metal sculptures come from early on visceral feelings towards song lyrics, words and poetry and her fascination with the ancient world, stone, rusty farm machinery and landscape. She has just started her job as a “real-life sculptor” since leaving art school early and has been wandering off, finding her feet in the landscape ever since!
