Estel Fonseca
Estel Fonseca is the recipient of the 2018 residency exchange between Glasgow Sculpture Studios and Triangle France. The Marseille based artist was selected after being shortlisted by Triangle France.
Estel Fonseca travelled to Glasgow in May for a three months residency. During this time she has access to a studio and production facilities at Glasgow Sculpture Studios, shared accommodation in Glasgow, and received a 1000 euros production grant in order to make new artwork.
Born in 1987, Estel Fonseca lives and works in Marseille. She graduated in 2011 from a DNSEP at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Nantes and a Master Law-Economics-Management Faculty of Angers. In 2008 she specialized in art theory and criticism at the Faculdade of Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, Portugal. Recent exhibitions include Restitution, group show at Friche la Belle de Mai, Marseille, SAUVETAGE VERTICAL, solo show at Straat Galery / Printemps de l’Art Contemporain, Marseille and Pièce à vivre, group show at POC, Marseille.
