Carla Scott Fullerton was selected as the recipient of the 2008 MFA Graduate Fellowship. The 2008 selection panel included Nathan Coley, Artist & GSS Studio Holder, Ben Harman, GoMA Curator, Sarah Munro, Tramway General Manager, Amy Sales, GSS Programme Development Manager, Stephanie Smith, Artist & GSS Studio Holder and Calum Stirling, Artist & GSS Studio Holder.

Carla Scott Fullerton took up residency at GSS in November 2008 for one year, working towards an exhibition opportunity in 2009. Fullerton’s practice is process based involving an intimate and exploratory relationship with materials and form; materials ranging from cement, plaster, wood and metal. Fullerton exploits irregular and unpredictable processes such as pouring and burning to create deliberately imperfect forms and structures.

Carla Scott Fullerton was born 1980, Edinburgh, Scotland. She graduated from the MFA at Glasgow School of Art in 2008. Recent exhibitions include Cut Line a solo exhibition at tentilten Glasgow and Lines & Pours, Chert Gallery, Berlin 2009 and inclusion in group exhibitions, Spacioux, Art Project Milan, 2009, Motto & Chert & Roses, Tulips & Roses, Vilnius 2009 and You can’t hide your love forever, LH Gallery, Paris, 2008. Forthcoming exhibitions include a group exhibition at Galerie Carlos Cardenas, Paris 2010 and a project as part of Glasgow International 2010. Fullerton is represented by Chert Gallery, Berlin.
