Camille Breteau

Camille Breteau is the recipient of the 2019 residency exchange between Glasgow Sculpture Studios and Triangle France. Marseille based artist was selected by the team at Glasgow Sculpture Studios after an open call announced by Triangle France.

Camille will be based in Glasgow from April until July, 2019. Her three months residency includes having an access to a private studio and production facilities at Glasgow Sculpture Studios, shared accommodation in Glasgow, and a £1,000 production grant. Camille will also be provided with a production and research assistance.

Camille Brêteau is a multidisciplinary artist living and working in Marseille. She is a graduate of Villa Arson and Isdat. Her works are inspired by the films of John Waters, Herschell Gordon Lewis, Sono Sion, Lizzie Borden and sound composers such as Else Marie Pade, Eliane Radigue, Clara Rockmore, Holy Herndon. Camille mainly works in performance art for which she creates a sound installation, set design and Bauhaus like costumes-sculptures.
