Alys Owen
Alys Owen‘s sculptural practice encompasses a wide range of media. She utilises drawing, video and sculpture to explore relationships between humans, animals and the natural world. She creates immersive environments that offer a form of escapism through constructed realities that question how we see ourselves.
Alys Owen (b. Pwllheli, Wales) Gained her MLitt in Fine Art Practice Sculpture from the Glasgow School of Art in 2012. She has exhibited in the UK and internationally including Spain, Cyprus, Croatia and Serbia. She will be be exhibiting with Jenny Lewis and Sukaina Kubba in Lucy Donna at The Underground Car Park Glasgow (2014) as well as in Glasgow International Festival in (2014) in the group show Le Swimming at the Underground Car park, Fleming House.
